She was the wallflower beneath his notice…until a terrible mistake has one dangerous, delicious rake believing she’s the fair “Cyprian” ordered for his pleasure.
That’s the premise for my battle of the sisters in my Daughters of Sin series, played out in Regency London’s ballrooms.
I’ve had great fun with this series in which each book follows one of the two legitimate and three illegitimate children of Viscount Partington. In Dangerous Gentlemen, (the book described above) both nobly born sisters – shy Hetty and vain and beautiful Araminta – have their sights set on the notorious Sir Aubrey, rumoured to have been involved in a failed plot to bring down parliament.
Indeed, Sir Aubrey has his sights set on both sisters, also, but believes one is not the gentle maiden she really is, but a lady of the night. Similar misconceptions muddy the waters when it comes to where Araminta’s loyalties really lie.
I was thrilled when the book reached the top ten on both Amazon UK and Amazon US a couple of days ago so to celebrate, I’d like to offer a giveaway of Book One is my Daughters of Sin series for a random commenter. Her Gilded Prison is about the star-crossed love affair of the sisters’ mother, Sybil, Lady Partington, with a dashing younger man. Like Dangerous Gentlemen, Her Gilded Prison can be read as a stand-alone.
Here’s what the reviewers say:
“A steamy romance with excitement and secrets between two lovers…Oakley does a fantastic job keeping these secrets hidden until the last possible moment.” ~ Night Owl Reviews.
So now it’s time for bed here in Australia. Thank you so much for coming to the party. It’s been a long day with making my costume for the Jane Austen Festival in Canberra and trying to finish book 4 in my Daughters of Sin series.
In the meantime, good night everyone!
