Do you believe in the otherworldly? Do you think something exists beyond the Veil.
The Veil, my new paranormal series, lets you experience the spiritual forces of the universe.
I’m posting another excerpt from Provocation, book 2 in the series.
A copy of Provocation is my party prize. Enter to win.
Provocation has traversed the veil and taken on a physical form created specifically to attract divorce attorney Ledger Keane. Provoking humans is her calling. She can be sweet, cunning or cruel, but tonight Provocation’s in the mood to play.
She’s mysterious. She’s beautiful. She does things ladies don’t do. Ledger’s no fool. He knows she’s up to something, but he doesn’t care. He’s captivated.
She can be his best fantasy — or his worst nightmare.
EXCERPT Three (adult)
Provocation watched the attorney and his client shake hands. Lawyers, especially those with rich clients, had reputations to protect. Many were bad boys, but they worked hard to maintain a positive public image. Provoking them to expose their true character was so much fun.
Intelligent, single and without vices, Ledger Keane presented a challenge.
His client headed for the door. As Morris walked past her table, his gaze slid over her.
Provocation didn’t acknowledge the hotel mogul. Instead, she focused on Ledger.
The lawyer was younger, leaner and much better looking. He wore his dark brown hair in a short, neat style that matched his conservative dark gray suit, blue shirt and striped tie.
Provocation was due for a bit of rest and relaxation. Not that she intended to give Ledger much chance to do either. After all, she loved her job and sexual provocation was what she did best.
Locking gazes with Ledger, Provocation rose from her table and walked toward him. She touched his arm as she slid into the booth.
“Another white wine?” he asked, sitting down next to her.
“Thanks, I’d liked that.”
He signaled the waiter, ordered, then turned his attention to her. “Thanks for joining me. I’m Ledger Keane.”
She slid closer, pressing her thigh against his. “Bella.”
She knew he was waiting for her to tell him her full name, but too much information dispels the mystery. And without mystery there was no intrigue. She had Ledger’s attention. Now she was going to reel him in.
The waiter arrived with the glass of white wine.
Provocation sipped her wine, resisting the urge to lick her lip. Humans were able to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh and imbibe to their heart’s content. Lucky creatures.
“Tell me about yourself, Bella.”
She slipped her hand beneath the table and touched his upper thigh. “I like sex.”
