FIVE HEARTS, TRS Review by Dyanne Doezz
“B.J. McCall weaves a very life engaging coming together of two physical personages. And turns them into sensual all encompassing characters that work jointly to bring about a union like no other.”
Ryce banked hard to the right, extended his right leg, snagging the jeans and black T-shirt he’d left draped over the railing of the balcony. Grasping the clothes in his talons, he snapped his wings, power stroking to gain lift. He circled the roof, swooped low and dropped the clothes before landing. He stared at the rooftop door, his heart pounding in anticipation of Lani’s arrival and the impending sunset.
His heart thumping in his dragon’s chest, he wondered if she’d find his human form attractive. She was certainly the most exquisite dragon woman he’d ever seen, but would her heart pound at the mere sight of him? Was Lani the one?
He ached to touch her, to caress her long neck, run his fingers over her scales and feel the beating of her dragon’s heart beneath his palm.
The door opened and Lani, dressed in the yellow robe, stepped onto the rooftop. She hesitated at the doorway. Ryce wondered if she had been experiencing the same sense of longing and eager expectation of their second meeting. She smiled. Her exotic eyes and long, black hair reflected her island heritage.
Struck again by her beauty, smoke streamed from Ryce’s nostrils. She hurried toward him, the shifting material of her robe giving him glimpses of her long legs. Eager for her touch, Ryce dipped his head.
With long slender fingers, she stroked him from the top of his head to the tip of his nose. Then she scratched him beneath his chin. He sighed, puffing smoke.
“It’s time,” she said, stepping away from him and letting the robe slip from her shoulders.
Sparks flying from his dragon’s mouth, his gaze feasted on her sun-kissed skin and delightful curves. Her breasts were tipped with dusky nipples and her hips were deliciously rounded. His gaze skimmed the triangle of dark curls between her legs and a ripple of fiery heat rolled through him. He wanted her, longed to hold her as a man and mold her body to his, breast to chest and belly to groin. The fantasy of undulating bodies, hands touching and lips meeting, formed in his brain.
His heart pounded and his scales quivered with desire as the sun dropped over the horizon. At the last flash of light of the dying sun, Ryce trembled. In a swirl of sparkling green light, his scales shimmered, changing to skin, tanned from the Caribbean sun as he shifted from dragon to man. His long tail disappeared. Wings became arms, legs reformed, claws became fingers and talons became toes.
At the same moment, Lani transformed, her body shifting from a gorgeous woman to a sleek dragon. Her scales gleaming in the fading twilight, she towered above him. The video and photos of Lani had mesmerized him, but seeing her in the flesh left him spellbound. He stood, awestruck by her dragon beauty.
For a long moment, their gazes remained locked on one another’s shifted form. He drank in her graceful neck, slender body and long tail. She stole his breath and finally Ryce’s lungs screamed for air. His chest heaved and he sucked in air.
She tilted her head and leaned close. Smoke streamed from her nostrils, warming his chest, torso and legs.
Her golden-green gaze slid over him. “Riding bareback?”
