FIVE HEARTS, TRS Review by Dyanne Doezz
“B.J. McCall weaves a very life engaging coming together of two physical personages. And turns them into sensual all encompassing characters that work jointly to bring about a union like no other.”
Let’s fly.” Ryce extended his wing. “Climb aboard.”
Eager to feel those silky scales against her skin, Lani climbed onto his back, settled above his wings and wrapped her legs around his shoulders. The contact of her bare thighs to his silky scales sent tremors of heat racing the length of her legs.
She caressed his neck, sliding her palms against his scales. He lifted his head and the emerald earring glinted in the sun, a sudden flash of green light.
“Ready?” he asked.
She shifted her weight, settling in for the ride, and pressed her thighs to Ryce’s powerful shoulders. A shudder slid down his neck and along his back, green scales shimmering in its wake.
Ohhhhhh. A quivering rush moved up her thighs and heat flared between her legs. A sensation unlike anything she’d felt before.
“Where would you like to go?”
Lani noticed his voice had deepened to a husky richness. Perhaps he liked the feel of her skin against his scales as much as she did.
“Out to sea,” she said. “I only get to fly over the ocean at night. I want to see the sun sparkling on the blue water and chase a school of dolphins.”
“Hold on.” Snapping his wings, Ryce launched off the roof.
Lani clung to his strong neck and pressed her legs tighter to his chest. His head pointed west, Ryce’s wings caught the onshore breeze. They beat steadily, air whooshing over his broad dragon wings.
Settling comfortably on his shoulders, Lani lifted her face to the bright sun. She hadn’t ridden a dragon’s back since she was a child and her father took her out to see the gray whales migrating south to Baja. Until she met her true mate, Lani’s flights were restricted to the night.
The wind picked up, lifting her hair and whipping the long strands around her face. Her silk robe billowed, flapping against her chest and arms. Beneath them the Pacific sparkled a brilliant blue for as far as the eye could see.
Ryce extended his wings, gliding in a wide circle, giving Lani a panoramic view. She spotted several ships, large freighters plowing through rolling waves.
Wings flapping, Ryce caught a strong updraft, soaring high. Hugging him with her thighs, Lani held on, impressed with his power and strength.
The sensual sensation of her skin sliding against his scales gave the ride an unexpected thrill. Although she relished the sensation, Lani instinctively knew that true sensual joy lay in sliding scales against scales and skin against skin.
Testing his reaction, Lani rubbed her thighs against his shoulders. His scales quivered and heated, sparkling green and gold. Enjoying the ride and her interaction with Ryce, Lani’s thoughts were far from the obligations of her job. The sun tracked across the sky, time slipping away.
