My latest release with Changeling Press, Knock on Wood, is the first story in the Love in the Wild series.
Here’s a little about the book:
On a dare from a friend, skeptic John Smith travels to the woods of Maine to investigate Bigfoot sightings. The last thing he expects to find besides a legendary creature is a sexy trail guide.
Earl Eli plans to trick his pretentious guest with a fake Bigfoot appearance, but when he and John fall for each other, he calls off the hoax — or so he thinks.
In the wilderness, a beast, a violin and two men in a log cabin equal a recipe for action.
I hope you enjoy the following excerpt from Knock on Wood.
After a moment, Earl Eli began stroking John’s hip. “You still want to go Bigfoot hunting?”
Chuckling, John sat up. “Yes.”
“All right. Then let’s haul ass.” He slapped John’s bottom and playfully pushed him away.
Earl Eli scrubbed a hand through his hair. John nuzzled his neck, and then he rubbed his stubbly cheek against Earl Eli’s.
Earl Eli reached up and placed his hand over John’s. “You sure you want to look for –”
“Like you said. Let’s haul ass. I admit I need a bit of recovery time, but by tonight I’ll be ready for round three.”
“And you said you weren’t ambitious? Dude, you might just kill me.”
“Whoever thought a librarian could wear out a mountain-man hunk like yourself.”
Earl Eli laughed and stood. This time John smacked his ass.
“Keep growing that beard and you’ll look like a mountain-man, too,” Earl Eli said.
John ran a hand over his jaw. “I’m starting to like it.”
“So am I.” Earl Eli bent and rubbed his face against John’s again.
Thank you for checking out the excerpt!
