…and concentrated more on the bodyguard team and the secretary they protect.
While at a conference with the Secretary of State, Ethan and Jazmin get confronted with terrorists, drug dealers, and a bunch of nasty people.
Ethan’s job has dangerous side effects —
Ethan wiped his painful eyes as he shuffled into the hotel room. His mind bounced between hugging his wife, a shower, and ten hours of uninterrupted sleep. If he had thought two days ago he couldn’t get any wearier, he had been wrong. He closed the door and leaned against it, eyes half closed.
“Sit down before you fall down,” Jazmin said quietly and guided him toward the bed. “I’ll have this treated before you fall asleep.”
“Princess, you’re amazing.” Ethan took her in his arms, held her tight, and stooped to kiss her. He saw her smile as they pulled apart. “Are you making fun of me?”
“You’re almost asleep standing up, but still want to hug and kiss me. That’s nice. Sit down.”
Ethan grinned like a fool, caressing her arm until he gazed at the first aid kit waiting on the nightstand. “What would I do without you?”
“Bleed?” Jazmin helped him out of his jacket and shirt.
