Moving day…
Hi all! Well, today is moving day. No, not for DH and I, but for another family member who’s moving about an hour and a half away. It sucks that he won’t be close by (like only 10 minutes from us), but at least he’s not going back to the east coast. An hour and a half drive is much better than a five hour flight.
Since we’re helping him move, I won’t be online too much during the day. Feel free to comment on my posts, and I’ll reply to you in the evening/night.
So, have you lived in the same town all your life or have you moved around? Me, Nevada is the fourth state I’ve lived in. I’m originally from NJ and had lived in KY and TX.
Speaking of having lived in different places and why, here’s another story I set in Las Vegas & with a heroine who had moved around…
One evening. One date. Easy, right?
* Heather Tramonto, a business woman with only her career and a quickie on her mind, is all set for her 1NS date and a bit of adult fun–no conditions, no commitment–when a surprise shows up at her door.
* Lane Stanwyck is entering the dating world after years of an estranged marriage and the passing of his hostile wife. When Madame Eve schedules an anonymous tryst for him–no conditions, no commitment–he believes it to be the perfect arrangement for his first time out in the dating field in ages. That is until he sees the woman of his dreams.
* One night. No strings. That might be a problem for this pair.
~ Excerpt ~
* He leaned back with a half-grin and a wink, and as if he knew her thoughts, did a quick flex of his biceps followed by his pectorals.
* Always the ham. She twirled a finger in the fine strands of hair at the top of his well-defined chest, toying and playing with them, watching his skin ripple. Then she stroked her hand down his torso to his abdomen. Not as ripped as she recalled from their youth, but in shape all the same. Unzipping his pants, she remembered the first time she’d found herself on her knees in front of him. Clueless. For an intelligent girl, who’d graduated in the top ten of her class, she’d been pretty dense when it came to pleasuring a man. Lane had been patient and kind in his teachings and telling her what he liked. It surprised her she remembered his preferences after all these years.
* “Raise your hips.” She gripped the waistbands of his pants and silk boxers. The clothes slid with ease down his legs to his ankles. One shoe gone, then the next. Followed by his apparel. She enjoyed unwrapping men like gifts to find the special prizes within. Lane lounged in naked glory before her. Modesty and shyness had never been part of his character.
* He winked again. Seemed he’d grown from a confident man into a cocky SOB. She sat back, wondering if the date was a good idea. He’d hurt her, made her doubt her instincts concerning men. For years, she’d had a hard time trusting people, been filled with anger. There were times she still experienced a bit of rage over their relationship. But at the moment, none of that mattered. Horny as hell, desire and need flared within her. He’d be able to take care of her, satisfy her craving for intimacy, which was all she required from this endeavor anyway. She shoved all threads of remaining resentment to the wayside.

Beautiful weather drink…
In my earlier posts (trsparties – march-a-beautiful-time-of-year & trsparties.com – favorite-areas) I’ve been talking about how it’s been absolutely gorgeous this week here in Las Vegas, NV. After I returned from shopping and taking some pictures today, I settled down with a margarita. I’d been craving a margarita since hubby, a friend and I went to Ra Sushi a couple weeks ago and I had one there.
Boy, did the drink taste good after having been out and about in the sun and warmth of the day. I believe this is now going to become my go-to drink when I’m out, especially during the summer months when it’s hot!
Do you have a go-to drink that you enjoy either year round or when the weather is beautiful?
Speaking of beautiful weather and lots of heat, here’s info on a story I set in Grand Cayman…
Sunset Desires
A blind date. A hot tropical evening. She’ll be someone he can’t forget. He’ll fulfill her ultimate fantasy.
* Gwendolyn Tramonto is stunned to learn her cousin set her up with sex on the beach and it’s not the drink. But after a several year dry spell of no relationships, no dates…no sex, Gwen decides to take her cousin up on her offer and go out on the blind date. For once, she’d like to indulge in a fantasy, be wined and dined instead of the other way around, and if she and the man ended up in bed together, that would be a nice bonus.
* Evan Cadell is looking forward to the date his uncle arranged for him through an exclusive matchmaking service and taking a one night break from work, life and all its demands. From Gwen’s profile, Evan knows what her fantasy is and believes he’s the man who can make it come true.
* But will one night in paradise be enough to satisfy their desires?
~ Excerpt ~
* “Do you like what you see?” His sinfully rich, accented voice carried across the room.
* Heat filled her cheeks. With a hard gulp, she nodded, not able to take her focus off his beautiful body. Each toned muscle created a wonderful form, from his defined deltoids and biceps to a six pack abdomen she could wash a shirt on. She chuckled internally. Her descriptive thought pattern may have been cliché, but appropriate all the same. He strolled over to her, his tall form of rippling muscle closing and destroying the buffer between them.
* “I hear your fantasy is to be on a tropical island.” Evan glanced off to the left where a large picture window framed the beach and water. “We have that part covered.” He stood behind her, their bodies an inch—maybe two—apart, returning his gaze to hers in the mirror. “That you wanted to be picked up by a handsome guy and by the looks I’ve been getting from you, I seem to have your approval.” Brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, he whispered, “And that you wanted to be in a private location for an erotic assignation. Isn’t that so?”
* Images from vampire movies she’d seen over the years filled her mind. He may not have been a vampire, but he was just as sensual as one. What spurred on thoughts of Nosferatu? His voice? His confident moves? He inclined his head, his gaze transfixed on hers in a mesmerizing stare, almost daring her to deny the attraction. His mouth, so very close to her throat, let slip wicked hot breath against her skin. If he were a vampire, this would be the part where he’d bite her. She pushed the fictional thoughts aside, desiring reality, welcoming him to kiss her…lick her…suckle on the curve where her shoulder met her neck. She leaned back, bare parts of her skin encountering the hard planes of his chest.
* “Shall we…?” His voice rumbled in his chest and against her back.
* Shall we what? her mind screamed as sexual tension warred with her logic. She swallowed hard again. How much of her fantasy did he know?

One of my favorite areas…

In my earlier post (trsparties – march-a-beautiful-time-of-year) I was talking about how it’s been absolutely gorgeous this week here in Las Vegas, NV. I had to go out for a bit so I decided to take a spin through my old neighborhood and one of my favorite places in Las Vegas. Isn’t the picture above lovely? There are a few lakes within this area, a shopping center with a pub, lots of sidewalks for walking. One of these days I’d love to move back into the development or some place similar. There’s also a strip of road not far from where I took the above pic that’s lined with trees that bloom in pink and white blossoms in the spring. I wanted to get a picture of that, but they weren’t blossoming yet. I did get a shot of this one little tree though.
Do you have a area in the place you live in? Did you know that I set a lot of my stories in Las Vegas? Here’s information on one of them…
The Double D Ranch Tales are set on a ranch just outside of the Las Vegas, Nevada area. In book two, Wild West Hauntings, a relative comes to visit one of the staff during the holidays. And she’s not the only visitor, a ghost and a poltergeist have decided to crash the party, too! As Rachel is dealing with falling in love with a ghost the rest of the gang have to try to get rid of the negative entity before it takes over Bristol’s unborn baby.
A Letter to Our Guests
Welcome Friends!
* Howdy and welcome to the Double D! With all the glitz and glam offered on the Strip, we so appreciate you choosing our humble spread for your stay. Our residents, staff and guests are known to have sexy, sometimes spooky, but always wild good times here in our little corner of the west. Here on the Double D we aim to please.
* Our ladies, Bristol and Cassie, sometimes liken our lives to that of those daytime dramas, or as our Ma called them soap operas—full of lots of relationship highs and lows, family squabbles, the occasional whodunit, and sometimes paranormal wonders. And ya never know when one person’s or couple’s drama will take precedence over another’s.
* We just like to think that the excitement around here adds to the ranch’s charm. Our last tale had us meeting our gals, a couple of spitfires who kept us on our toes. Now we’re going to share another glimpse into all our lives here on the ranch and what happened when Marianne’s sister, Rachel, came for a visit.
* Enjoy your stay.
* Dakota Dougan, Ranch Manager and Damon Dougan, Lead Ranch Hand

Double D Ranch Tales, 2
* In life and the afterlife, on the Double D Ranch one belief holds true—the power of love changes lives.
* With cowboys, ghosts, modern day women, hot dreams, pre-wedding relations and a bit of sexy time travel, life promises to be one wild time on the ranch again.
* Rachel Star has met the man of her dreams … literally. Too bad he’s a ghost. When true love crosses boundaries from dreams to reality and across time, the Double D ranch is the place it happens. It takes the love of a man from the past, Dalton Dougan, to bring love full circle in the present for Rachel.
* Bristol Ashcombe, soon to be Dougan, is ready to have her baby … and so is a poltergeist. Can the love of a woman for her man and child sustain her during the most horrible of terrors? Can the love between family and friends really dispel the evil haunting them?
Be Warned: sex toys.
~ Excerpt ~
* Rachel snuggled deep within the confines of the down comforter, relaxed and content for the first time in months. Relieved to no longer have to cram for exams, write research papers or defend her thesis, she sighed, then closed her eyes. The travel time from Newark to Las Vegas, Nevada had been longer than expected due to storms, winding her nerves tighter than they already were. It was nice to finally settle down, stop moving and cease thinking. Within a few minutes, she drifted into a familiar dream world.
* Subtle fragrances of leather and sandalwood filled the air. His memorable scent encompassed her. An eternity without him, or what seemed to be that long, ended as her dream lover drew near. A serene smile played at the corners of her lips. Dalton, it’s been awhile, she purred in her mind.
* Behind her, the bed and covers shifted. He settled his body against her. Restless throbs of desire pulsed through her as she molded against him, wanting to be as close to him as possible. He nibbled on her earlobe and snaked his strong arms around her. Warm breath wisped over the side of her face.
* “My star. My lovely wife. How good it is to have you in my arms.” Lips brushed her jaw just below her ear, sending tingles down her side and arm.
* A quick burst of panic shot through her. This seems to be more than a lucid dream. Rachel reached behind her, with a cautious sweep of her arm and hand, hoping to find empty space.
* She didn’t.

March? A Beautiful Time of Year? ~ C.R. Moss
Yes. Well, kind of. Here in Las Vegas it’s been absolutely gorgeous this week. Temps have been in the 80′s. It’s been sunny. I’ve been able to sit outside with my notebook and pen and do some writing. March/April with a small part of May and a small part of September into October are my favorite times of year because of this kind of weather. We don’t need the heat on. I can have my windows open. It’s lovely. Granted, the weather people are calling for temps to dip back down into the 70′s followed by a short trip into the 60′s again, but for now I’m enjoying the 80 degree weather. And, yes, our summers get uber hot around here. July and August are particularly bad months, but the rest of the year makes up for them.
Do you have a favorite time of year? Did you know that I set a lot of my stories in Las Vegas? Here’s information on one of them…
The Double D Ranch Tales are set on a ranch just outside of the Las Vegas, Nevada area. In book one, Wild West Weekend, two friends take a trip and meet up at the working ranch for a bit of a break from real life. They expected to hang out and catch up with each other. What they didn’t expect was to meet a couple of cowboys who’d turn their lives upside down.
~ Blurb ~
Double D Ranch Tales, 1
Two people scared to love again. Two others hesitant about commitment. A weekend in Nevada will change all that.
Bristol Ashcombe is swearing off men and taking a vacation with her friend, Cassie. Damon Dougan is packed and ready to leave the ranch for a trip, that is, until a long-legged, sexy woman steps out of a vehicle and he decides to stay. Will one sex-filled weekend be enough for either of them?
Cassie Harding travels to the Double D ranch to meet Bristol and looks forward to seeing her old friend, Dakota. Dak’s excited when Cassie, his former sweetheart, returns. Cassie and Dakota, though they’re heating up ‘the sheets’ in and out of the bedroom, have fears about commitment after years of being single. Will they find it’s better to dance together than apart?
Be Warned: light bdsm, sex toys.

Regardless of what mood she was in, where she was, or who she was with, there was usually some kind of kink going on. Last night, she almost didn’t know how to react, then decided to go with the flow. After all, she didn’t know which way his tastes ran yet to do anything different in the sex department.
* She shoved a forkful of scrambled egg into her mouth. “And that has what to do with me?” she muttered around the food.
* “I’ve decided to keep an eye on you. You’re sticking by my side as much as possible.” He crossed his arms and his legs, indicating he’d brook no argument on the matter. “Now that you’re here, it’s gonna take a will of God to make me let you go this time.”
* Heat rushed through her body, raced up her neck into her cheeks. Cassie reached up and stroked her fingers over her throat, feeling its warmth. The fading bruises didn’t hurt anymore. She wore scarves and collars to keep people from staring, like he continued to do. But then, maybe he wasn’t staring at her because of her neck.
* The thought of being truly desired by a man, him in particular, sent the wave of hot desire careening down to [between her legs]. How could she spend the rest of her stay at his side if he kept gazing at her like he wanted to keep her in his bed? Not that being in his bed again would be a bad thing. She had dreamt of such a thing as a teen, but they never were able to act on their impulses.

Post 4 with Adult-rated excerpt ~ Now available! ‘Lovers and the Fiend’ by C.R. Moss
* Hi again! I’m here to tout some more about my latest release, Lovers and the Fiend. This is a story in Evernight Publishing’s Naughty Fairy Tale line. The characters, Jack and Kristina, appeared in my short story – Chasing Miss Kringle – that’s in an Evernight Publishing anthology – Stockings and Suspenders. This is the first of a handful of stories I have planned for the NFT line that revolve around the world started in CMK and Lovers. You don’t have to read the anthology story to read Lovers, but it’d be nice if you did.
As for this story, it is loosely based off of one of my favorite fairy tales, Beauty and the Beast.
* Here’s a short Q & A…
* Why did you pick out this particular fairy tale? The book I’m promoting today is based off of Beauty and the Beast. That story, along with Sleeping Beauty, was one of my favorite tales as a child. There are also two other fables threaded into the book. One is off of an elves story and the other a rendition of Jack Frost.
* What was the best part about writing this novel? Stepping into writing some m/m again and exploring the dynamic between the two male characters.
* What sets your hero and heroine apart from the rest? Kristina is an elf. Jack is an ex-cop, now private detective, who still can’t quite wrap his mind around anything paranormal. And they both are being charmed by a supernatural creature named Kol.
* Here’s some info on my story to whet your whistle…
~ Blurb for Lovers and the Fiend ~
* Ex-cop turned private investigator, Jack Vorst, learns his elf girlfriend Kristina has been missing for a few days after being invited to an underground vampire club. He, too, is summoned to visit club Hexenringe and is taken captive. Jack finds Kristina bound and gagged in a human sized bird cage. They’re both thrust into a kinky world at the hands of Kol, the club owner. Kol, a vampiric beast, shifts into human form to be with Jack and Kristina and needs them to remember their pasts and to love him so he can return to what he used to be. Can Kol make the pair fall in love with him despite his current situation and the fact he’s keeping them captive or will they leave, making it too late for him to change all their fates?
Warning: ménage a trios, M/M, bondage, anal sex, sex toys, public exhibition
~ Excerpt (Adult) for Lovers and the Fiend ~
* When the machine stopped, Jack’s gaze fell upon Kristina. She sat in a human sized bronze birdcage. Metal rods that fed through the bars poked into her porcelain skin. Her red hair swept up into a bun gave her a mock facelift. Around her head was a black harness, and a bit rested between her teeth. Kristina’s arms were pulled above her head, and her wrists were clamped within cuffs molded to the top of the cage. Thin chains and leather straps wrapped around her torso. The silver and black only rested above and below her breasts, leaving her chest exposed.
* Anger boiled through him seeing her imprisoned in such a way. He wanted to break free from his own bonds and pummel Kol’s head in.
* Kristina lifted her face and her gaze caught Jack’s. She winked. Any fears he had in regard to her predicament and comfort, and his ire over her situation, deflated. He studied her again, and this time his cock reacted to the erotic picture she portrayed.
* I gather you’re okay? he stretched his thoughts out toward her. Sometimes they were able to communicate telepathically with each other. He hoped this was one of those times, then tried not to snort his disdain. Telepathic thoughts. She was an elf. When he’d first met her, they’d shared a couple of magical, other worldly interactions. And yet, he still didn’t believe in the paranormal. What is wrong with me?
* Kristina tittered. Nothing’s wrong with you, darling, and I’m fine now that you’re here. I see you’ve become acquainted with the beast.
* Her gaze flickered with caution or perhaps worry. Beast? Jack breathed hard through the hole in the gag. Something about all this didn’t seem right. Why’d she call such a handsome fellow a horrible name like that?
* Footsteps fell behind him on the wooden floor. Seconds later Kol’s breath warmed his neck. The dancer’s finger stroked the cleft of his ass, teased the puckered hole. Jack jerked away from his touch and received a stinging slap on his ass.
* Hey!
* Kol came around him, keeping his hand on Jack’s waist as he did so. The stroking of Kol’s palm on his skin sent a flood of desire through him. Jack did his best to will away the arousal this time.
* After trailing a hand down Jack’s thigh, Kol then cupped his balls. “Why are you trying to repress your natural urges?” His fingers toyed with his sac then slid up and rimmed his tight sphincter once more. “Didn’t I tell you to look within? Realize what is true?”
* Natural? True? Jack closed his eyes, pondering the dancer’s words. Had his past curiosities been more than what he’d thought them to be?
* “And as for the beast comment, this is why.”

* I’ve loved the story of Beauty and the Beast ever since I was a young girl. I remember back in kindergarten listening to the story via headphones while it played on a record player during recess. When Disney came out with the movie in the early 90’s, I went to see it then got the video and watched it over and over. I even had one of the songs from that movie play during the band’s break at my wedding reception. Then, of course, I’ve also read The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy, a series of novels by Anne Rice (writing as A. N. Roquelaure) a few times. Only stands to reason that I’d use this particular fairy tale as the basis for my first NFT story, right?

* If Kol was this good with his mouth and on his knees… My God, what would he be like in bed? The thought made his sac tighten. His cock throbbed with the steady build up that happened just before release.
* “Kol,” the word came out as a breath.
* The dancer removed his mouth and sat back. “I’d love to take what’s going on between us further if you’re up for it.”
* Further. Pretty sure Kol meant sex, he glanced down at the man who appeared eager but patient. Am I up for it? Jack’s cock twitched, an indication that part of him was. But did the rest of him feel the same way?
* A breeze blew across them. The scents of sandy earth and sage filled his nostrils. His skin cooled and tingled from the airy caress. The answer came to him, and it was yes. He wanted Kol’s warmth and his touch. “Yes, okay.” Jack swallowed hard. “Let’s go for it.”
* “Fantastic.” Kol hopped to his feet. “I promise that if you’re uncomfortable we can stop at any time.” He held out his hand to Jack.
* Jack threaded his fingers in his and stood. Kol led him over to an extra-large lounge chair and directed him to sit on it. He was glad the material that made up the cushions of the outdoor furniture was cloth and not vinyl. Less chance of his ass sticking to it all.
* “Will you suck me, Jack?” Kol palmed his cock, presenting it to him.
* He blinked. “Um… Well, when you said take it further, I thought you meant—”
* “You thought I meant that we’d just fuck.” Kol laughed, bent forward and placed a hard, quick kiss on his mouth. When he pulled away, he kept his face a couple inches from Jack’s. “If you’re not ready to taste me yet, that’s all right. But tell me, what do you want Mr. Jack Vorst?”
* “I want your warmth and touch. I want…” Jack wasn’t sure if it was the morning sun adding to the heat in his body or Kol’s proximity or if it was a combination of both. Either way it seemed to be addling his mind and stopping him from voicing his thoughts.
* “Yes?”
* Jack swallowed again, took the moment to gather his courage, then blurted out the statement that summed up his deepest desire. “I want you to make love to me.”

Now available! ‘Lovers and the Fiend’ by C.R. Moss ~ post 2 with R-rated excerpt
* Hi!
My name is Chris, and I write under the names C.R. Moss for erotic and mainstream romance and Casey Moss for mainstream dark fiction (horror, suspense, urban fantasy). My professional bio for C.R.: “An eccentric and eclectic writer, C.R. Moss pens stories for the mainstream and erotic romance markets, giving readers Worlds of Possibilities when it comes to love.” Basically I write stories from the light and sweet to the dark and deadly with varying degrees of sexual heat. The bio for my other persona: Casey Moss delves into the darker aspects of life in her writing, sometimes basing the stories on reality, sometimes on myth. No matter the path, her stories will take you on a journey from the light-hearted paranormal to dark things unspeakable. What waits around the corner? Come explore…
* Today I’m here to tout my latest C.R. Moss release, Lovers and the Fiend.
* The idea for the world these characters exist in came when I got the idea for Chasing Miss Kringle for Stockings and Suspenders. At first the anthology story was just going to revolve around a guy meeting a woman at a 5k race, but then my muse ran with the paranormal idea and created a dual investigation service. Then, I had an urge to write for the NFT line and figured CMK would be a good place to start with a world and setting for that story. It all takes place in my home town of Las Vegas.
* If I had to describe Jack (my favorite character in the book) and Kristina each in five words they’d be ~ Jack: handsome, intelligent, stubborn, honest, slow-to-change & Kristina: feisty, smart, independent, passionate, magical
* If I had to give one of my favorite lines in the story, it’d be: Pale skinned, she appeared beautiful at first glance, but there was an underlying aspect of decay and dilapidation, like an old house someone tried to make look new with a fresh coat of paint, but no one bothered to make repairs. (Thanks to my crit partner, Erin, for helping me with my stories!)
* Here’s some info on it to whet your whistle…

* The handsome guy grabbed his pants, hurried off the stage and down the side steps.
* Well, it’s either find my girl or appease any inquisitiveness toward being with a member of the same sex. Like maybe with Mr. Sexy who’s coming toward me.
* Jack stopped several inches short of running into the dancer, who happened to be the same height as his six-foot frame. The man smiled. His dazzling gray eyes twinkled. The dancer reminded Jack of someone, but he couldn’t place who. The guy dropped his pants, grabbed the back of Jack’s head and planted his lips on his. The kiss was harsh, demanding, but the man didn’t seem to care, so neither did Jack. His free hand traveled down and cupped the bulge hiding in Jack’s jeans. Tingles raced through his body, and Jack wondered what the feel of the dancer’s hand on his naked cock would be like.
* For the merest of moments, the man swept his tongue into Jack’s mouth. He tasted of a nutty, roasted flavor with a sweet tinge. Caramel? Perhaps. Jack made a note to find the beer the dancer drank beforehand and read the ingredients.
* Loving the play of his tongue against his, Jack was about to reciprocate in the intensity of the kiss, but the dancer broke it off.
* “I’m glad you approved,” the man’s tenor voice purred in a hint above a whisper.
* Jack wasn’t sure if he meant how Jack didn’t mind the stranger planting one on him, touching him or the thought he had about what he’d been drinking, or all of it, so he just nodded.
* “Come.” The man presented his long fingered hand with a charming smile.
* Surprised how it didn’t faze him to accept it, he grinned, and where they touched, Jack’s skin sizzled. His knees seemed to weaken, and the only thought running through his lust-addled brain was that he’d follow the dancer anywhere, do anything the man wanted him to do.
* The dancer winked, making him feel like his mind was an open book to him, and guided him to a door between the bar and stage. After stepping through the doorway, the man shut the door, encasing them in darkness. His hand tugged Jack’s. In silence, the dancer led him through the dark. How? He didn’t know. But in a weird way, Jack trusted him not to lead him astray.
* Several feet in, the man stopped. “I am pleased you made the right decision to come here tonight.” His hot breath fanned Jack’s cheek.
* Jack wished he could see the man and how close he actually was to him. If he moved his head, would he be able to kiss the guy in the thong? He cleared his throat. “Well, first off I came to find my woman. Secondly, your invitation seemed to be one I couldn’t ignore, and…” Jack paused. And what? Now that he was here, he found himself aroused and craving the man’s attention. Could he admit that aloud?
* “And?” The man licked the edge of his ear.
* Desire within Jack spiked, and heat fanned out from his ear and encompassed his neck. He gulped. “And now I think I want you.”

Now available! ‘Lovers and the Fiend’ by C.R. Moss ~ post 1
* Hi! Thanks for having me here today.

A peek into the beginning of the story…
Chapter One
I have your woman. A nice piece of ass she is, too. She tells me you’re not bad yourself. I would love for you to join us later. A car will be waiting for you outside your office at noon today where my assistant will fill you in on some details. If you know what’s good for you and your gal, you’ll take advantage of this invitation. See you soon. ~ Kol Ainmire
* Jack Vorst’s temper went full tilt within a second. His blood pounded hard through his head and body. He’d told Kristina to be
careful when she went out on her cases, but it seemed she still had gotten herself in trouble. Not good.
* “Vic! Get in here!” Trying to check and rein in his anger before he popped a vessel, Jack grabbed the letter he’d found on his desk while going through a stack of mail and a couple of case files. The paper crinkled within his one clenched hand, and the envelope it’d come in bunched up in his other.
* He kept his gaze downcast, ground his teeth. No sense in looking at the tan colored walls that were littered with stenciling in his office and be more irritated than he already was. The design and colors reminded him of the Native American beaded belts people sold at roadside stands.
* Vic’s wife, Malory, who worked in the adjoining office suites, loved her southwestern motifs. All the rooms for both divisions of the business were decorated to represent Arizona and New Mexico. The decorating style with too many colors and crazy patterns made his head swim, gave him a headache. He hated headaches.
* Staring at the crumpled papers in his hands, he sighed. Truth be told, Kristina’s whereabouts and her lack of checking in for several days only concerned him a little. She was able to take care of herself, and he trusted her. He loved her, wanted her to be safe, so of course he worried some. But being an elf gave her an advantage that mere humans didn’t have¬—the ability to escape situations by simply disappearing and reappearing elsewhere.
* Except this time.

Anthology fun ~ part 3 ~ C.R. Moss
* Hi everyone! You like anthologies, right? Good, cause I have another one for you.
* I wanted to share with you an anthology my alter ego, Casey Moss, has a story in. Keyboards and Kink is a thirteen author anthology with spicy stories revolving around the online world. Pick up this book and heat up the winter nights with these hot reads! My contribution to this anthology is a story called AFK & of course it’s set here in Las Vegas! It follows a woman who’s been dumped and escapes reality through a MMPORPG.
~ Blurb for Keyboards and Kink ~
* A night at home on the computer doesn’t have to be boring…
* Feel like chatting? Or maybe doing something more daring? The stranger reaching out across cyberspace could be a creepy pervert, but what if he wasn’t? What if he’s a vampire, the sexy boy next door, or even your gorgeous boss?
* Thirteen tales explore all the delicious possibilities when online relationships lead to sexy encounters away from the keyboard.
~ Blurb for AFK ~
* Introduction story to the MMPORPG world of C.O.V.E.N. Available in the Keyboards and Kink anthology at Evernight Publishing.
* AFK is a short urban fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi, m/f, erotic story.
* Lizbet “Beth” Hayes has been dumped by her boyfriend and betrayed by her best friend. To escape from reality, she stays home and delves into work by beta-testing a massively multiplayer online role-playing game — C.O.V.E.N., Clans of Vegas-Endless Night — the company she works for is creating. She’s consumed by the fantasy game, even going so far as to develop a crush on a vampire-warlock character named Godric. When a horrible thunderstorm hits, she’s sucked into the game for real and hooks up with the character. But fantasy can’t take the place of reality. Somehow she has to get home, and when she gets back, she and the man who’s stolen her heart have to find each other.
~ Excerpt for AFK ~
* She enjoyed a brief moment of pleasure from Godric’s scent. Leather and wool. Male musk denoting strength and virility. If only he weren’t an enemy of my clan.
* A slight breeze carried a hint of copper. Blood? Perhaps. She just hoped it wasn’t his. She’d been tracking the man from the Winchapel clan for too long to let her quarry fall prey to someone else’s hands. Besides, if she had a chance to be alone with Godric Winchapel again—even if only for a few minutes—she’d take the opportunity to derive some personal pleasure from his presence. It’d be wonderful to have his strong arms wrap around her, his hot mouth on her skin, her lips, her breasts. She wanted his fingers threading through her long ebony hair, gripping the lengths in his fist as he took her.
* Bella shook her head to clear the licentious thoughts. Gah! No matter how nice it’d be to escape the ravaged city through his touch, I have to stop daydreaming about him.
* Days prior to receiving orders setting her on the path to find a vampire-warlock and kill him, she’d met Godric in a pub across from The Shores. She’d flirted with the tall, well-toned and devastatingly handsome man, whose wavy blond locks flowed freely to his shoulders and icy blue eyes twinkled in the dim lighting. They’d played darts for a few hours, sizing up each other, bantering sexy innuendos and buying each other tankards of the weak ale the pub sold. It’d been a long time since she flirted with a man and held his interest. She also didn’t care that he was a member of an enemy clan. She liked him, or as her four-year-old niece—who was too wise for her age—would say, she had the hots for him.
* Just before closing time, he had kissed her long and hard, and all she could think about was getting him into her bed. Yet that wasn’t meant to be. He’d taken his leave right after the earth-shattering kiss, saying duty called, but pledging they’d meet again someday and pick up where they left off.
* Events a few mornings later, though, shot his vow all to hell. She’d received a missive outlining her own duties. Her quest commanded she find and capture the head Winchapel vampire-warlock, take his shadow magic from him, retrieve his amulet and leave him as a withering husk on the cold earth. His demise would be a warning not only to his clan but also to all other clans in the valley that Rampartchapels weren’t to be trifled with.

It came from…an anthology! Anthology fun ~ part 2 ~ C.R. Moss
* Hi again! In my last post I shared info with you about a holiday anthology from Evernight Publishing called Stockings and Suspenders. My contribution to the anthology is a story called Chasing Miss Kringle. The story’s set here in Las Vegas and follows a hunky private investigator who’s put on a special case to help out his friend’s wife. Well, what does that post have to do with this post? The characters from Chasing Miss Kringle have their own story!
* Coming out on January 25 from Evernight Publishing is Lovers and the Fiend ~ a Naughty Fairy Tale. This is the first of a handful of stories I have planned for the NFT line that revolve around the world started in CMK and Lovers.
