Are you a
Are you drowning in advice, worried to submit your material to a publisher or even to a freelance editor prior to self-publishing? (Or are you thinking of actually skipping an editor and just go right to “publish”?) (Don’t do that, by the way. Even
Steven Stephen King has an editor.)
Join me, author A. Catherine Noon, for a free workshop on self-editing prior to publication – whether it’s to a house or your best friend the grammar nerd. Even if you’re paying for your own editor, handing them a spellchecker’s nightmare is only going to cost you more money because they have to wade through stuff you should have caught on the final draft.
Who: Anyone who likes to write – even if “all you do is email and post on Facebook,” you’ll find some tips useful so you can put
yore you’re your best foot forward.
What: Self-Editing for Submission free online workshop
When: Monday, August 8th through Sunday, August 14th, 2016
Where: Romance Divas Forum, consistently one of Writers Digest Top 101 Best Websites For Writers. Membership is free, but it is suggested you sign up early. NOTE – this is part of a series of workshops for the NGTCC: Not Going To Conference Conference.
Why: Every writer needs to edit. The more we know how to edit our own work, the more polished product we can produce. (Sorry, I had to alliterate. It just felt so gooood.) But seriously – if you have a crutch word, or struggle with passive voice, or need to learn to spell, these are all problems that we can fix before it goes to another person.
How: This is an online workshop, so you can take it at your own pace. Divas is an international forum of writers who span the globe, so when you want to complete the workshop is up to you.
I look forward to seeing you there!
