5 Stars and a Reviewer Top Pick at Romance Reviews! ” HONEYBUN AT A DUDE RANCH is extremely hilarious, romantic and well written; this is truly one of my favorite reads. It’s something that I wouldn’t mind reading over and over again. Page-turning and unputdownable!

“Who are you talking to?”
Heathcliffe turned and found Nita standing outside shivering. He ushered her back into the cabin and closed the door. “What is it with you and going outside without gloves and a coat?”
She frowned. “You aren’t wearing gloves or a coat.”
“That’s different, I’m a big strong man. You’re a tender, susceptible woman.”
Nita looked as if she might hit him, then, amazingly, she laughed. “Why do I feel the urge to arm wrestle with you right now?”
Heathcliffe grinned, glad she appeared to be getting her sea legs back under her. He stepped closer, skimming a bright strand of hair behind her ear. “You wouldn’t have a chance.”
Nita swayed toward him. “I think I could take you.”
He lowered his head. “Really?”
She lifted up on her tiptoes, placing her hands on his chest. “Uh hmm.”
Heathcliffe cupped her pale face in his hands, skimming a thumb over the velvet skin of her cheek. “You’re on. But first I need to do something.”
His lips touched hers, Nita inhaled his scent, quickly becoming intoxicated by it. Heathcliffe’s hands slipped around her waist, resting gently on her hips. He didn’t draw her in, didn’t rush the kiss. Nita relished the slow movement of his lips against hers, her system thrumming with excitement from the gentle touch.
Awareness brought her body alive, heated her skin and softened her muscles until she couldn’t help swaying toward him. Heathcliffe deepened the kiss, his hands slipping around to pull her in, branding the skin beneath her clothes.
Lust coiled in her belly. Desire swirled in her breast. But more importantly, her self-imposed isolation slipped away in the face of his talented touch. The months of solitude and fear slid to the background of her mind.
She slipped her hands into the back pockets of his jeans and pressed her belly against the ridge of desire growing between them. In response, Heathcliffe took their kiss to the next level, driving his tongue between her lips.
His taste exploded against her tongue. Nita made a helpless little sound of need in her throat, shocked at the strength of his effect on her. She’d held herself away from men for so long. Even before she and Max divorced, she’d been afraid to talk to other men…terrified someone would smile at her, or touch her hand in conversation. God forbid they’d flirt with her.
The hell she suffered afterward just wasn’t worth the risk.
And since people had started to die—well—Nita didn’t dare reach out for companionship.
It suddenly hit her. She was pretty much signing Heathcliffe’s death warrant just by being in his cabin. If she was seen kissing him…
Nita dragged herself out of his arms. “We can’t do this, I’m sorry. I can’t willingly put you in danger.” All of the pleasure she’d been feeling was swept away on a wave of terror for him. She grabbed his hand. “You need to leave. Please? Leave now, tonight. Go back to Indy and be with your family so you’ll be safe.”
Heathcliffe touched her chin but she jerked her face away. “Nita, I’m not going anywhere. My brothers are coming tomorrow. We can handle this.”
She shook her head, tears flowing down her cheeks. Shivering violently she paced away from him. “You don’t understand.” Nausea roiled in her stomach and she had to stop pacing. She dropped onto the couch, breaking into a cold sweat.
Nita twined her arms around her stomach and started rocking. “He’ll kill you.” Her voice came out in a husky whisper, strangled by terror and tears.
The couch cushion dipped as Heathcliffe settled his long, warm body next to her, wrapping her in the throw from the back of the couch. “It’s going to be fine, Nita. I promise.”
He pulled her close, enfolding her in his arms.
Nita shook her head. “You shouldn’t promise. It will be a lie.” But she couldn’t quite bring herself to pull away from the heat and comfort of having him draped around her.
She couldn’t quite force herself to stand alone again. She was so tired of standing alone.
