ATLANTIS VORTEX – Complications

Image

Together, at last, but there are complications, this is just one and sex can’t cure – everything….

Jessica woke before her husband. At least he allowed her to think so by lying still and breathing as if he slept. Xerxes felt her gaze sweep over him and through eyes open only enough to see through his thick blond lashes, watched a blush cover her face.

What passionate memories caused such a reaction from his new wife as she gazed on him?

Xerxes heard her draw a heavy sigh. She turned away and went to shower. He smiled, stretched and waited until he heard her leave the bath, then rose and showered.

She was watching the news, her silk robe tied around her, when he entered the room behind her. Xerxes silently stood observing her. Jessica was engrossed watching a reporter interview her parents concerning her mysterious disappearance. Xerxes saw tears silently streak down her cheeks during the interview. She wiped them away with the back of her hand. By taking a deep breath and holding it, she managed to control her sobs in silence. She wiped her eyes again and rose from the sofa. He winced at her obvious pain. Jessica poured a cup of hot, black coffee and drank it—straight down.

Xerxes knew separation from her parents would be difficult, but he hadn’t expected this much of a challenge so soon. The time-table recovery of the artifacts and Jessica’s relocation had been determined by the level of the entrance’s exposure. Hurricane Igraine had hastened the pyramid’s collapse, and the Aztecs’ ill plan had thrown him a curve. But with her parents on vacation Xerxes had hoped for some reprieve from handling the security involved with meeting them until after the situation with Marcus was resolved. However, Marcus remained a problem making any security condition, tricky. Watching his new wife, Xerxes waited a moment to make his presence known, not wishing to embarrass her.

“Good morning, my love…” Smiling, he took her in his arms and kissed her. He ignored her hidden tears as if he hadn’t caught her, aware of her pride.

“As you will it,” she replied quietly.

“I thought we would take a curse this day so you could see more of our under-water world. It’s quite vast.”

“As you will,” she agreed, distracted.

“Jessica, did you leave your temper in bed?” He teased, half-coaxed, drawing her into his arms.

“No, just…“ She turned from him.

“What’s wrong, tell me!” He turned her back, but she wouldn’t look at him, her head bowed. Xerxes loved her, but he didn’t actually know all her facets. Aware of her hot temper, he’d experienced it. She was highly passionate, he’d experienced that too—and enjoyed it. Xerxes hoped her ability to love was as intense and deep, and she would come to feel that way for him. For now, he didn’t understand how to reach or relieve the pain she was feeling. Xerxes abruptly came to know that anyone, who felt love, passion, and anger so intensely, felt grief as deeply.

“My parents…” She looked up at him, unshed tears glistened in her eyes. Tears she didn’t want him to see. “I cannot allow them to believe I am dead. I am their only child, and it’s cruel.” Jessica expressed boldly, her voice cracked at the end.

Xerxes remembered his parents concern when he had been lost on his first encounter with the upper-world. He would have to find a solution to quell her anguish, quickly.

“Jessica, I cannot risk their lives by bringing them here. I cannot allow you to go to them—at this time. Even my power has limits. Would you condemn them to live here?”

“I don’t have that right, though you made that choice for me.” Jessica’s voice was soft, her eyes gazed into his.

“I made the choice, of either you living here or having you executed.” His voice fell like a stone. “Those were my choices. I couldn’t endure the thought of your death.” His hands were on her arms pulling her into the shelter of his embrace. That choice still haunted him with Marcus loose. Jessica didn’t know how long he had cared for her. She had remembered their first meeting but was unaware of his feelings since that day.

How could he tell her? How could he explain to her how long and how deeply he had loved her?

“Some way, I will get word to your parents. I won’t let them suffer because I can’t let you suffer,” he swore solemnly. Somehow he’d allow her to at least speak with them. His lips closed over hers’ to convey his true feelings in a deep, heartfelt kiss.

“How can you expect me to…” her voice cracked with emotion, “to ah, when my family is in such pain.” She pushed against him. “No, I can’t. Please!” Jessica turned away, her soul in torment.

Xerxes turned her back. He memorized her face, each feature, everything about her. “I swear to you wife, I will find a way.” He gazed down into her eyes, trapped. She held his soul and he would have exchanged his for her.

His gaze held hers, for all the years the blocked memories came to her in dreams, she loved him. They were meant to be together. Jessica’s body screamed for him. He lifted her from the floor, and as in past times when he swept her feet from beneath her, she surrendered herself to him totally. Her head rested on his shoulder, his masculine scent filled her senses, and her hand rested in the light blond curls on his chest. As he carried her, she shyly pressed her lips against those curls, her blood already heating in anticipation of their lovemaking. Her long hair flowed down over his naked shoulder, a curtain that slid down his arm when he laid her on their bed, her robe falling open.

Jessica wanted him. She swore no man would control her, but this one did. His eyes held some strange power over her. An influence she didn’t understand. Slowly Xerxes eased his lips to kiss her and gather her body closer. With his embrace, Jessica

placed a resistant hand against his muscular shoulder. It seemed a mere token resistance and Xerxes removed her hand to place a burning kiss in the palm. His look down into hers’ was intense, fierce in his passion. He began nibbling and kissing his way up her arm to her neck. His mouth took hers. Their tongues fenced leaving her mouth hungry for more. He drew the belt from her already open robe allowing it to fall from her body. His hot mouth nibbled and teased down to her breasts, a moan of anticipation escaped her. Xerxes’ hand caressed over her flat stomach sending flutters through her sex. His fingers combed through the hairs between her legs, her hand caressed his. Masculine hands caressed her body applying a healing balm where they touched. Her distraught mind eased.

Jessica’s head grew light from the passion of his kisses. Her blood already ignited, when Xerxes intimately eased a knee between her legs, her body responding in rivers of desire ready for more of the same attention as the night before. His gaze burned with love and fervor.

Jessica remembered the pleasure of the night before. She gladly surrendered. He took possession of her lips. For a time of forgetfulness, the only thing she knew was his touch, her arms pulled him closer. Her hands caressed his muscular back. Reverently, she kissed the healing scar on his bicep, marveling at the risk Xerxes took to save her from a horrible death. Jessica no longer restricted Xerxes explorations of her body, now she shyly explored his. Touching him aroused her as his touch did on her body. She kissed his chest, her hands caressing him, becoming bolder while roaming over his buttocks. Without conscious realization, she stroked his ready cock. Gently, her curiosity great, she caressed Xerxes’ erect shaft. Jessica looked into his face, astonished at the flames, burning hot, in his aquamarine eyes. Her body seemed flushed hotter than she imagined possible.

“I love you, Jessica…” Xerxes rasped. Jessica sensed his hunger for her. He drew her up and kissed her. His hand lightly caressed her newly opened womanhood to guide his cock to merge with her body. Only heat and pleasure guided their joining as he promised.

Xerxes held her close. “I will never let you go! I’ve waited so long to have you.”
