All he heard was a slight buzzing sound. But he smelled oxidized air, like the scent of a forest. Fairy magic. The fairy was definitely in the house. He shifted back to his hound and slipped through the door. To the left was a short hallway with several more doors, all closed. To the right was the main part of the house. Only one room was lighted, but the light pulsed, going bright and then fading slightly before flaring brighter again.

That room was also the source of the buzzing Matt was hearing. He headed toward the light, scenting the air as he moved. The closer he came to the light the more scents he could discern, until he was sure he’d turn the corner and find a whole herd of fairies looking at him.

But he only saw one. One man, bending over something that looked like a large freezer which pulsed with multi-colored lights. The fairy looked mighty fine from the back. Matt stayed in the shadows of the hall and watched the creature’s broad shoulders flex and his leanly muscled arms bulge in movement. His gaze slipped down the fairy’s back, past a narrow waist, to a pert, round behind that made Matt’s mouth water.

His nether regions tingled, and he looked down the length of his doggy form. Damn! He was sporting a red rocket. How embarrassing. Matt closed his eyes and thought non-sexual thoughts until his doggy hard-on retreated.

The soft snick of the lid closing on the container brought his eyes open again. The fairy was heading directly toward him, carrying a large bag that bulged and moved like it was filled with cats. Colored lights shone through the thin fabric of the bag, creating soft hues to light the fairy’s way through the dark house.

Matt stepped out of the hallway and the fairy stopped, making a small sound of surprise. “Jesus H! You scared the shit out of me.” Then he smiled. “Nice doggy. Where did you come from?”

The fae’s voice was rich, musical, and went straight to Matt’s dick like an airborne aphrodisiac. He thought about Indianapolis Colts football to beat back another red rocket. Nothing killed pleasure like contemplating the team’s recent performance on the field.

The fairy was looking around, obviously trying to figure out if he could outrun Matt to a door.

He didn’t get the chance.

The windows suddenly blew inward with concussive force, and fire exploded into the room the fairy had just left. The fae flew toward him, hitting Matt hard and sending them both skidding down the hall. Matt smelled burning hair and reached up, slapping at the fairy’s hair and shirt before he even realized he’d shifted back. The fae groaned and looked into Matt’s face, obviously dazed.

His eyes were turquoise in the light from the flames. His lips looked exquisitely soft.

Smoke billowed toward them from the front room. Black, poisonous smoke. The fire caught and flared with new life as it ate at curtains, rugs, and upholstered furniture. Matt blinked and started to move, climbing out from under the fae and grabbing his arms to haul him to his feet. “Come on, we need to get out of here before the house is completely consumed.”
