I know it seems like it’s been all Dragon Knights, all the time lately, but what you don’t see behind the scenes is that all the heavy lifting on the new dragon book has been done for months now. It’s been a long wait for the KEEPER OF THE FLAME release day next Tuesday, and I’m thrilled it’s finally almost here!
But while that’s all happening, I’ve been working steadily on other projects that I hope will come to fruition in the coming months. For one thing, I’ve been writing the follow-up to Tales of the Were: ROCKY, which focuses on the mysterious character introduced in that book, a sexy werecat named Slade.
In fact, the book will probably be titled Tales of the Were: SLADE when it comes out. I’m aiming for April, but I don’t have a firm date yet. Stay tuned to my blog and/or website for more detail as it becomes available.
One thing I can tell you is that I will be focusing more on my paranormal series this year, in addition to the new releases in my Dragon Knights series. 2013 is shaping up to be a year of new releases in most of my series. And if I can’t manage to get a book out in a particular series this year, I’ll definitely be working on the books with the goal of at least getting something finished and into the pipeline for publication.
I don’t always have control over how long it takes between writing the book and the book’s release by a publisher. A perfect example of that is the follow-up to Brotherhood of Blood: WOLF HILLS, which has been waiting for edits since last August. Yeah, you read that right. The book was handed in to my editor in August of 2012 and isn’t scheduled for release until December 2013.
Which is a large part of the reason that I’m exploring new ways to get books out a little quicker.
The focus on paranormals this year will help do that, since I have a little more control over how and when they come out.
So the tentative schedule for the rest of the year looks something like this:
February 26: KEEPER OF THE FLAME ebook release (Pre-order now from: Amazon – Barnes & Noble – Samhain)
March 5: Brotherhood of Blood: WOLF HILLS print release
April (date TBD): Tales of the Were: SLADE ebook release
July 2: Dragon Knights: THE DRAGON HEALER ebook release (Pre-order now from Amazon)
August 20: Dragon Knights: MASTER AT ARMS ebook release
September: Dragon Knights: MAIDEN FLIGHT print release
October: Dragon Knights: BORDER LAIR print release
November: Dragon Knights: THE ICE DRAGON print release
December: Dragon Knights: PRINCE OF SPIES print release
December 10: Brotherhood of Blood: WOLF QUEST ebook release
There will be a few more things inserted into this schedule, including a couple more Tales of the Were stories and the final novella in my Arcana series, which will be called KING OF STARS. I don’t have exact dates yet, but these projects are definitely on the agenda.
I’ll also be doing my best to finish Resonance Mates: HARRY’S SACRIFICE, which is the last in the 5-book story arc. While I don’t think my publisher will schedule it for release before 2014, I’ll be finishing the book in the next month or two. It’s pretty much the same story for String of Fate: KING’S THRONE and StarLords: TALENT FOR TROUBLE, unless I can come up with some other solution to get them out quicker.
So that’s the scoop. Hope my plans make at least some of you happy!
I’m looking forward to all of your new releases. Sounds exciting
Thanks,

I can’t wait for some more of your series to come out. Sad to see that King of Stars will be the last in the Arcana series.
