I’m so glad you dropped by the TRS New Year’s Party. This past year was a good one, but I’m looking forward to even more exciting events coming my way in 2013. I have plans for my personal, professional, and writing life that are going to change my world as I know it now. I want to share some of those plans with you and hear about your plans for this new year. I think it is safe to say reading will play an important role in both of our lives if we are here at this party! 
I have already found a new author and book I plan to purchase and follow. I hope you will do the same. I often get too busy as an author at these parties to take time to read other posts, and find out about some fabulous new material and authors. One resolution I’ve made for the new year is to be a reader, and not just a writer at these TRS parties that I enjoy so much! I’ve discovered one new author already. I’ll let you know how many catch my eye by the end of this party on the 6th! I challenge you to do the same.

I’m a reader – and an author too. I’m not participating in this party as an author because I want to focus on more reading in 2013. I spend so much time writing I had less reading time in 2012 so I decided to change things!

It’s good to take a break occasionally. Gives the brain a break. Wouldn’t want you to suffer burnout and not be able to write at all.
There are so many great books coming out this year and quite a few I still need to read from 2012. Should be a great reading year.
I couldn’t agree more…writing tends to consume what little spare time we do have. We need to get back to our first love of reading!
